Onion casserole with beer

Fry cut onion on butter. Peel potatoes and cut them in slices. Lay layers of onions and potatoes in a heat resistant dish (potatoes should constitute both the bottom and the top layer).

Components:

1 kg of onion
60 g of butter
2 kg of potatoes
a bottle of light beer
2 bottles of cream
salt
pepper
ground nutmeg
100 g of grated cheese
butter

Preparation:

Fry cut onion on butter. Peel potatoes and cut them in slices. Lay layers of onions and potatoes in a heat resistant dish (potatoes should constitute both the bottom and the top layer). Mix beer with cream, add some salt, pepper, nutmeg and cheese. Pour the dish with the obtained mass. Put quite thick chips of butter on the top. Bake for 2 hours in the temperature of 220 degrees Celsius. Serve with a salad and a mug of beer.
